Since 2018, CFS has supported the WELL Gold building standard at Interface’s unique global headquarters, Base Camp.
Management teams support a healthy work environment and the building’s WELL certification, fostering both physical and mental well-being with a range of wellness-focused amenities for employees, including specialty beverages, fresh fruit, and exercise bikes.
CFS also manages the custom water and air filtration systems, key elements in a WELL-certified environment. Offsetting 100,000 gallons of water annually, the facility has a custom-built 15,000-gallon underground cistern. The facility’s slatted roof-top design collects rainwater that is treated, then used to flush fixtures and to irrigate greenery, including the rooftop garden.
Recently, management teams worked with local subject matter experts to address challenges that are posed to these types of systems over time. Carbon filter upgrades will minimize bacterial contamination thru a revised filtration approach that will be reconsidered for WELL recertification in 2026.

“As someone who has been with Interface for 13 years, I truly believe that it’s a special place. We’re always looking for ways to prioritize the wellness of our people and raise the bar for sustainability. Investing in WELL Certification at Base Camp keeps us deeply connected to a purpose beyond profit. We’re grateful for Colliers, whose valuable partnership supports our people-centric initiatives like Great Place to Work and our strategies to create healthier spaces.”
